CabinetForge Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-14
CabinetForge is a Fusion add-in published by Marc Gillman. This policy explains what data CabinetForge collects. The short version: none.
No network calls
CabinetForge makes no network calls of any kind. It does not contact any server, service, or third party, whether to check a license, report usage, fetch updates, or anything else. This was verified by searching the App's source code for any use of requests, urllib, http.client, or socket — none were found.
No data collection or transmission
CabinetForge does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage analytics, telemetry, or model/design data. Everything the App does — generating cabinet geometry, User Parameters, and cut list/parts list/cut chart/materials-required PDFs — happens locally, inside your own Fusion session and your own file system. Nothing you design or export with CabinetForge ever leaves your machine because of the App.
Local files
CabinetForge writes cut list and related PDF exports only to the output folder you explicitly choose when running Generate Cut List. It reads only the current Fusion document you're working in.
The only other files CabinetForge touches are two small local preference files under %LOCALAPPDATA%\CabinetForge\: toolbar_prefs.json, which remembers whether you've pinned CabinetForge's commands to the toolbar, and legal_ack.json, which remembers that you've seen the first-run License Agreement/Privacy Policy notice so it doesn't show again. Between them they hold only those two on/off values — no personal data, usage data, or design data — and, like everything else described in this policy, neither ever leaves your machine.
Data retention and deletion
CabinetForge has no data retention policy to state, because it has nothing to retain: it collects no personal data, usage data, or model/design data to begin with, so there is nothing stored by the App or its publisher to later delete.
Revoking consent or requesting deletion
Because CabinetForge never collects any data from you, there is no consent to revoke and no stored data to request the deletion of. If you have any concern about this, or believe CabinetForge is behaving otherwise, contact cabinetforge@gmail.com and it will be investigated and corrected.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of CabinetForge ever adds functionality that collects or transmits data, this policy will be updated first, and that update will be reflected in the version you install.
